The hard start relay kit as this is known does exactly that !
It takes all the load and stress off your old starter ignition switch and ageing vehicle wiring.
So the days of ” click click ” are gone.
This quality 40 amp relay is pre wired with one meter of wiring so you can mount the relay away from moving parts and dirt and grime.
Terminals are professionally crimped or soldered and then heat shrunk down where required. This eliminates bad connections and volt drop.
INSTALLATION
Disconnect your battery.
To wire simply remove the solenoid trigger wire from the starter motor. ( this is the spade or lucar connector on the solenoid )
Attach the red cable from the relay loom with the spade lucar terminal on to the connector you have just removed.
The removed trigger cable attaches to the blue wire from the relay loom. ( they match up male to female perfectly)
The other red cable from the relay loom has a round ring terminal. This fastens to main power supply on the starter motor solenoid.
All the connections are now made at the starter motor.
With the supplied cable ties route your loom to your chosen location for the relay to be mounted.
Please note it needs to be fastened to steel work as the relay earth terminal needs to have a good ground ( or earth)
