Porsche 944 turbo front diskbrakes for a Volkswagen Split van on flipped spindles
You areviewing a set of front Porsche 944 disk brakes. I started the project offitting these to the front of my split van 3 years ago. Anyway due to a newhome I never quite got round to finishing them off. These are thereal deal, they are huge and very powerful-vented disks designed to stop a fastand powerful sports car. Compare these disk to a modern mid range car frontdisk and you will see the quality instantly. There is so much meat on them youwill never need to replace them, as well as being hugely vented too. A niceupgrade on your VW being part of the Porsche Vw stable, but also equally usefulin rebuilding your 944 project.

Included  Two 944 1pot brake calipers (left and right). These where carefully masked up andblasted clean before painting in yellow. They where painted in Smoothrite(hammerrite), so there will be no problem painting them inyour choice of colour before rebuilding. Also done is new rebuildkits for the pistons seals (14.99 each) and one new piston. New bleed valves, as well as allthe original fitting parts Two 944disks, again carefully masked up blasted and painted. Checked for skimming butthey did not need them. The photos show light surface rust, what you wouldexpect from any disk that’s not in use. First time you brakethis will be gone. Two hubcarriers where also masked and blasted. Once clean they had new VW bus bearingshells fitted as well as the spacers to move the shells out to fit the longersplit van front axle. They have all new bearing and two new rear grease sealsready to be fitted at the build stage.
A courier can be worked out, I also have trips down the M5 and along the M4 in the next few weeks.
I have madeup two heavy-duty wheel adapters and spacers to taking the Porsche 130pcd boltpatter back to 205pcd original VW bolt pattern and threaded the holes for VWbolts. The adapters plates are held on with new counter sunk nuts. Ofcourse if you have Porsche wheels to put on these will slide straight on withoutthe adapters or spacers, but you will not be able to use the counter sunk nuts. The disksare held to the hub carriers with new bolts also. I have madeup a pair of mounts from the VW axel to the brake calipers and have all newbolts for the all fittings.
This is all mounted to a set of flipped late split axles with new bushing for the king pins.

There is also included a set of link pins as well as a Bay window brake balance valve. Bay Windows run a balance in there brake pipe work to help balance out the vans front to rear braking when the front dips heavenly. I have a valve to include.
These brake parts you would be buying as an unfinishedproject. I hold no responsibility for making your car safe and fit for theroad. It is advised that all work is checked by a qualified mechanic beforeuse. Anyquestions, please ask.
 Thanksfor looking
